AuditLok XLV User System Configuration ProgrammingPIN Life, PIN Length, Auto-Inactivate, Auto-DeleteThe PIN length, normally 4-digits, may be set to 6-digits for systems that include TL rated safes. PIN life sets how often users are required to change their PIN numbers. Auto Inactivate is how long a user number or key may go unused in the system before it is disabled. Auto delete is how long a user number or key may go unused in the system before it is deleted.1. Log into PGRM. 2. Select “USERS.” 3. Select “SYSTEM.” 4. To change PIN LENGTH, select it, then enter either 04 or 06 to set the number of digits required for a PIN. When switching from 4- to 6-digits, two zeroes are automatically added at the end of all existing user PINs. When switching from 6- to 4-digits the last two digits of existing PINs are dropped. 5. To change PIN LIFE, select it, then enter a number (000 to 255) of days. Note that a setting of 000 will disable the feature. 6. To change AUTO INACTIVE, select it, then enter a number (000 to 255) of days. Note that a setting of 000 will disable the feature. 7. To change AUTO DELETE, select it, then enter a number (000 to 255) of days. Note that a setting of 000 will disable the feature. 8. Press “ESC” to return to the idle screen. About Permission LevelsThere are six default permission levels in the system:1 Administrator 2 Supervisor 3 Manager 4 Asst. Manager 5 Lead Operator 6 Operator Regardless of how the default permissions are configured these rules must be followed: 1. No level may enroll anyone of a higher level. 2. No one may edit a permission of anyone else that they do not have. 3. Editing a default permission will not change the permissions of any user already enrolled. 4. Editing the permissions of an individual user will not affect the default permissions assigned to users enrolled in the future. 5. Default group assignments cannot be changed. An enrolled user’s group assignments may be changed (see Edit User Status procedure). Key Required OptionBy enabling Key Require for a user level, all future enrolled users at that level may only be enrolled with an electronic key. If Key Require is disabled for a particular level, users enrolled at that level have the option to be enrolled with a User Number rather than a key. The advantage of the key is that it provides better security. The advantage of the User Number is that there are no keys to lose making it less expensive and more flexible for managers to handle employee turnover.1. Log into PGRM. 2. Select “USERS.” 3. Select “SET PERMISSIONS.” 4. Select “KEY REQUIRE.” 5. Permission levels that require a key are marked with a star (*). Scroll to check all levels. Select a level to toggle the KEY REQUIRE status on or off. Press ENTER when done. 6. Press “ESC” to return to the idle screen. |
