Vindicator - Power ProblemsNo Power1. Check power to the outlet where the transformer is plugged in by using another electrical appliance.2. Check if the transformer is warm or cold. If cold, replace the transformer. 3. Inspect the power cable. 4. Check the transformer output voltage. If there is no output replace the transformer. 5. Check for possible display problems. 6. Apply power by jumping the outer board. 7. If power cannot be jumped drill the safe open to access and replace the inner board. Jumping Power to a Vin II Outer Board1. Obtain a 9 to 12 Vdc power supply or battery.2. Remove the outer board for access. 3. Locate the blue connector TB1 on the back of the outer board*. It will be marked + and –. 4. Connect the DC supply to these terminals. Make very sure to match polarity! WARNING: Never apply AC to TB1. 5. With the DC supply jumpered, open the outer and inner doors to access the inner board. If the electronics are not operational while jumpered, it will be necessary to drill the safe open and replace the inner board. If the safe does open, continue. 6. If the safe does open in Step 5, continue. 7. If the problem is not the transformer, proceed as follows: 8. Remove all power. 9. Locate CR-15 on the inner board. It is a diode located next to where the AC power comes into the board. 10. Cut one lead of diode CR-15. 11. Plug in the transformer to apply power. If the safe does not power up using the transformer, replace the inner board. ![]() |
