Auditor Autobank - DoorDoor Does Not LockIf the door handle can be turned at any time the lock is probably failed. In this failure mode the soleniod becomes stuck in the "energized" condition due to heat. When the solenoid seizes the door can no longer be locked. This is most often due to operators using both the DOOR and ACO keys (dual key override) to open the safe rather than using a normal door opening procedure. This is because the dual key override applies 16V rather than 9V to the lock (the lock is rated for 9V). This problem not seen on DOOR 3 because the 9V is applied through a door control module which controls the routing voltage and because there is no dual key override for Door 3.1. Check continuity of the ACO and DOOR keys to make sure the key switches are not shorted. In the event they are, replace the affected switch(es). 2. If the DOOR LED is lit (on the Driver board) disconnect JP1: 2.a. If DOOR LED stays on, replace the CPU and Driver board (driver board is more likely the problem). 2.b. If the lock continues to remain frozen in the unlock condition, replace the lock also. 2.c. If the DOOR LED goes off and the lock solenoid goes to the lock condition, check for continuity problems or shorts in the wire harness. 3. If the lock is the only faulty component replace the lock only. 4. Store personnel must be trained on the proper methods for accessing the door using normal door opening procedure. The problems with using the dual key override are the potential lock failure, inability to record safe entry, and inability to reset manual drop amounts. Door Does Not OpenThis procedure is based on Door 1, but with appropriate modification may be used with other doors under Auditor control.1. Verify that the proper door procedure is being followed. Remember that with Software 5.0 and higher the operator must log in a second time to open the door. Also, check that the door is not timelocked and that the operator has appropriate authority to open the door. 2. Verify that the ON/STANDBY key is in the ON position (if present). 3. Turn the DOOR key and verify the display reads DOOR 1 MGR. If this message does not display, replace the key switch (open the door using the other key). Note: If possible, the key switch wires should be checked for continuity before replacing key switch. 4. Turn the ACO key and verify the display reads DOOR 1 ACO. If this message does not display, replace the key switch (open the door using the other key). Note: If possible, the key switch wires should be checked for continuity before replacing key switch. 5. Open the door using the Dual Key Override Procedure. If the Dual Key Override works, skip to Step 7. 6. Perform a Factory Door Slam Override. If the door can be slammed open, the problem is the Driver Board. If the door cannot be slammed open, the lock is failed and the safe must be drilled and the lock replaced. 7. Run the Configuration Report 107 and check the door delay and timelock parameters. Look specifically at line 43 (or 45, if appropriate) to ensure that time is available to open the door. If line 43 or 45 is set to 0000, change to 1000 to enable door access. Check the door delay time is correct (line 42 or 44) and that the correct door delay parameters are being used (assigned in line 37). If the safe programming configuration is correct and the safe will only open by override, replace the Driver Board. Replace the CPU only if the Driver Board does not fix the problem. 8. A door should only be drilled when other options are exhausted. If a door is drilled, replace the lock as soon as possible. Door Locked Open1. Hold the door sensor plunger in the closed (depressed) position while performing the normal door opening procedure.2. An override will only be required if the door sensor is failed. 3. To check the door sensor, depress and observe the message DOOR 1 CLOSE; then release the door sensor and observe the message DOOR 1 OPEN. |
