CPU Replacement

Physical replacement of the CPU is relatively straightforward. Ensure power to the safe is off while changing circuit boards. Use special care to ensure cables taken from the old board(s) goes on the new board at the same connector and with the same orientation. Always use static protection.
1. If possible, run the following reports: 107, 108, 110, 111. These reports should be run immediately prior to commencing service because CPU/Driver replacement also replaces the log.
2. Unload all columns.
3. Observe Normal Power-Up: After replacing the board(s) power up the safe. Note the front panel displays the messages ROM STARTUP V2.0, CHECKING FLASH CODE, and then AUDITOR V5.5 (or applicable version number). After several seconds it will display the date and time. After several seconds it normally flashes an LC:FAIL message very briefly, then returns to the date and time. Before pressing any buttons on the keypad please wait for this message to flash by.
4. Perform 99 Reset.
5. Program and enroll users.
6. If the driver board is also replaced, adjust the output sensor trim for 1/2 travel. To do this, locate R7 on the Driver Board. It is a blue trim pot located near the DROP LED. Rotate R7 clockwise until you feel it begin to click. Rotate R7 counter-clockwise 25 full turns. The DROP light should be lit.
7. Test safe operation.
