ETD System 1HistoryETD is an electronic timelock system used in the 1980's and early 1990's on some Gary safe models. This system is equipped with a time delay and time access.Key Activated ETD1. To start the time delay turn the key to the left and back to center. The red light will come on during the delay.2. When the delay has expired the red light goes off, the green light goes on, and the access period will begin. A buzzer may also sound for 10 seconds to indicate the start of the access time. The green light will remain on until the access period expires or is discontinued. 3. During the access period turn the key to the right to energize the solenoid to open the interior door. Return the key to center to deenergize the solenoid. 4. To discontinue the access period (when you are done entering the safe), before the access time expires, close the door and turn the key to the left and back to center. The red and green lights should both be off. Button Activated ETD1. To start the time delay push the red button once. The red light will come on during the delay.2. When the delay has expired the red light goes off and a buzzer will sound for 10 seconds to indicate the start of the access time. 3. The green light will remain on until the access period expires or is discontinued. 4. During the access period the solenoid will automatically retract. When the access period ends the door automatically locks again. 5. To abort the delay simply press the red button a second time. |
