Keypad Lock - SmartGard

About SmartGard

1. The SmartGard is a digital access control system. It has an LCD display that shows access information.
2. All access combos are 6-digits. For master users with an 8-digit combo, the first six digits are the access number used to enter the safe. Each combo digit entered is displayed as an "X" to keep the combo confidential.
3. Numbers should be entered slowly and carefully to avoid false entries. If an incorrect combo is entered the display will freeze, then go blank except for a blinking cursor. When the blinking cursor disappears you may re-enter the combo. If wrong combo's are entered too many times a penalty may go into effect preventing access for a specific period.
4. If the display reads "TIMELOCK" or "TIME DELAY ACCESS DENIED" the safe is in time lock or time delay. Follow the appropriate procedures for each .

Door Access

1. Press > to power up the display.
2. The display should read "ENTER COMBO", "_ _ _ _ _ _". The first blank space will blink.
3. Enter the combo.
4. After the correct combo is entered the display will show "OPENING" with day, date, and time.
5. Turn the knob, if applicable, and the handle to open the door.

Door Access With Delay

1. Press > to power up the display.
2. The display should read "ENTER COMBO", "_ _ _ _ _ _". The first blank space will blink.
3. Enter the combo.
4. After the correct combo is entered the display will show "TIME DELAY" and "ACCESS DENIED".
5. After a few seconds the display will show the count down (or count up, depending on programming).
6. When the delay has elapsed the display will show the access time counting and a cursor will be provided to enter the combo again.
7. Enter the 6-digit combo during the access period count.
8. After the correct combo is entered the display will show "OPENING" with day, date, and time.
9. Turn the knob, if applicable, and the handle to open the door.
10. If the combo is entered during the delay period, the delay period will restart.
11. If the access period is missed, the delay period must be restarted in order to open the safe.
12. If the wrong combo is entered too many times a time-out penalty will be applied.

Timelock

1. Press > to power up the display.
2. The display should read "ENTER COMBO", "_ _ _ _ _ _". The first blank space will blink.
